Presently, the inspection of works mainly construction of buildings was done by the departmental officers, he added.

building houses for the homeless (none / 0) (#1)
by Unregistered Visitors on Thu Mar 11, 2010 at 06:37:07 PM EST

It is nice that there is some intention of building houses for the poor. Actually, the poor in gurgaon are of two types:
  1. Those who already are living in a slum
  2. Those who are living on the footpaths
With the summers approaching it is more necessary to build houses for the poor on the streets .... However, to avouid the high costs of building, maybe the governmant can :
  1. shift these people into a building that has been sealed (since it'll have water and electricity and toilets also)

  2. ask for donation of building material from other well-to-do citizens, furniture shops,etc...so that houses can abe made more quickly at low cost and the building material discarded  by the other citizens also gets recycled.....

What ever the case , it must be done fast otherwise the poor will continue to suffer like they bhave, for so long especially the women, since it isn't easy for them to live in the open....please, please, please do something about it quickly  !!
